The Southern Hemp Expo brings CBD creators, hemp experts, farmers, and all the finest minds of the industry together to help build and inspire hemp growers and makers in the Southern United States.
Southern Hemp Expo 2021 takes place from September 2 – 4 at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Two members of the OP Innovates team will speak at this event:
Annie Rouse
Annie Rouse is a dedicated hemp entrepreneur, educator and activist who has spent the last 10 years building a sustainable supply chain for hemp products through her manufacturing and formulations entity, OP Innovates, and her suite of branded products including Overcome, Hemp Mellow and Anavii Health.
She earned a US Fulbright Scholarship to study the environmental life cycle of the Canadian hemp supply chain, received her BS in Economics and a Masters in International Environmental Policy and an MBA. In her free time, Annie is the writer and producer of her podcast series, Anslinger: The untold cannabis conspiracy – an interview-narration style podcast highlighting Big Pharma’s role in cannabis prohibition analyzed from 10 years of archival research. She is also the founder and Board Member of Friends of Hemp, a non-profit advancing the value of hemp by engaging our communities. Keith Butler
Keith Butler was brought into the world of cannabis advocacy in 1979 and in 1987 joined the hemp revolution started by Jack Herer. Beginning with his first formulations company in the early 90’s manufacturing supplements, Keith has never stopped learning from the natural world. With backgrounds in law, science, manufacturing and distribution, Keith has traveled the world as an ambassador of the plant.
In 2019 Keith co-founded OP Innovates (which stands for One Plant, One Planet) to manufacture and distribute products utilizing the natural absorption methods of Naturia+™, an organic Patent-Pending cannabinoid delivery method Keith co-invented.
